A premier cru vineyard just south of the city of Beaune, next to Pommard. The Drouhin vineyard is at mid-slope with an east/south-east exposure planted with both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Owned by the Drouhin since family since the 1920s this is one of the star wines in this famed producer’s portfolio. Morello cherry, raspberry and blackberry aromas with liquorice and a touch of sous-bois earthiness; fleshy and admirably pure on the palate, grip but also finesse on the palate, layered and lingering.
