Said to have been founded in 1050 on Lake Gegernsee in the Bavarian Alps south of Munich. This is a bit of a legend, a classic of the Helles style found in the region. Malt, hay and herbal-citrus aromas, crisp and clean with subtle bitter notes form the hops, a pleasing freshness and perfect balance.
